Amcor (AMC) Dividends Cannot be Entered in AUD
Issue Amcor shares listed on the ASX are traded as CHESS Depositary Interests (CDI's). Dividends are declared in US Dollars but paid in Australian Dollars (AUD) to holders on the ASX. Also there is no Foreign Tax withheld. Consequently, there should be an option to record an AUD payment. Current Behaviour Currently payments can only be entered in USD. This creates a significant problem when trying to record a dividend, because we then have to calculate an exchange rate to get the correct AUD value. And there is no foreign income. Possible Solution One possible solution would be a currency option against the AMC Settings tab, allowing you to enter dividends in either USD or AUD. Impact This creates a lot of extra work when there are 20 years of dividends to account for.
