Forex transactions - and tax implications

What I would like is best explained by an example. Presently I use Interactive brokers, I am currently using your automatic updating directly from IB - which is great. However, presently it only incorporates stocks, I would like it to incorporate any cash and forex activity - especially in the context of working out the tax on the forex transactions.
