Handling Cost Base Adjustments in Different Currencies
Hello Navexa Team, I’ve encountered a new situation and apologise if this has already been addressed. I’ve taken out an Australian loan to purchase investments, including BRK.B shares, which were purchased using US dollars. Since these shares do not pay dividends, the interest I’m paying in Australian dollars is not deductible as an annual expense. Instead, it should increase the cost base of the shares for when I eventually sell them (if I do). I’ve noticed you have a great feature for creating cost base increases, which would normally suit this purpose if everything were in the same currency. However, I haven’t been able to figure out how to manage this when the original cost base is in USD, but the additional cost base (from loan interest) is in AUD? Thank you!
