How to make me use Navexa daily - add some more data/capability to portfolio holdings list
Have begun migrating portfolio data over to Navexa and it'll help a lot on the transaction side and long-term performance monitoring... and data sharing (SMSF, etc)... and enabling adult children to also start investing and understanding what they are achieving/doing... (currently 6 investing style portfolios active with about $2m AUD)(partner is/was CTO of ANZ Retail, AMP Bank, Class/HUB24, Nuix)(somebody you should really get to know to help Navexa - Alexis Rouch) but if you want me to use Navexa daily you'd need to add some flexibility into the Portfolio Holdings list to somewhat replace my Google Sheets system (which has become somewhat of a monster in need of a rebuild)(image attached). Google Sheets is a temp system while I finish building a Python-based system to automate a lot of what I do... but want to also trade again with it. Naxexa would be great for keeping an eye on the investment portfolios so I can focus more on coding... Back to Navexa suggested features on the Portfolio Holdings list... basically I'm after some additional customisable columns... beyond the ability to also take portfolio price snapshots to monitor change from a given date (useful to see how held shares are reacting differently after a given event or reporting period)... see screenshot. Adding these things would help make Navexa my DAILY porfolio management reference and kill off Google Sheets completely beyond a market status board and prospecting tool which Navexa doesn't offer (see screenshot... indexes, bonds, commodities, ETFs, etc - all able to also be part of a price snapshot). My Python system will watch things like short level changes, upcoming reporting dates (might be another useful column though!), broker revisions, technical changes, etc. Requested additional Portfolio holdings list columns... A column (or columns...) for a valuation/performance metric auto obtained via a reliable data source please... like P/S, revenue growth... useful alongside a snapshot price change%. Useful to keep an eye on relative valuations and valuations generally. Helps if rebalancing. Sortable. A hyperlink column for own charting source or other purpose (obvioulsy truncated to a meaningful name). Can be fixed or smart where could substitute symbol and maybe exchange (but exhange codes can vary). See screenshot. I use this link a LOT as I watch stocks technically across multiple timeframes especially if I've gone more concentrated. Open link on a new tab. WITHOUT THIS I'M STILL USING GOOGLE SHEETS TO WATCH PORTFOLIOS DAILY. I may instead use this to link to my own Python system in the future... giving an instant status read technically, etc to reduce/automate assement/risk workload. Might not need a hyperlink column for this bit, but still used frequently... an easily found link needed to the stock's (or ETFs) investor web page. Used to read reports, etc. It would also be helpful to easily get to the associated share registry login page. An extra bit would be a notes column where can add/see things like FY26 AISC price ranges, Hedging levels, special situation like Gold+Copper output, Takeover target, etc. Have gone over what my Sheets system does for me and tried to identify what is missing in Navexa for my portfolio management. That's it! Thanks. Navexa already rocks...
