It is the same as linking a stock to a broker. Linking a cash account to a broker will show you your cash position with each broker. It will also show you your total balance (shares+cash) under "Broker/Source" view making it easy to balance your account per broker account.

Please considering adding forex brokers and trading for performance tracking and tax reporting.
